Projected Capacitive Touch Screen (PCAP) or Resistive Touch Screen for Industrial Monitors?

Since it responds to pressure, the resistive touchscreen is excellent for operation with a finger, gloves, or blunt objects like a pen or Q-tips. In contrast, the projected capacitive multi-touch screen (PCAP) is particularly useful for applications where intuitive operation with gestures such as zooming, swiping, rotating, and similar actions is common.

Video Input Options and Customer Service for Special HMI Display Features

TAICENN industrial monitors support multiple video input options, including HDMI, DP, VGA, and DVI ports, to meet various needs for a wide range of industrial screen HMI applications.

Additionally, TAICENN offers an established service for special HMI display features, such as mounting methods and functional solutions, high resolution and high brightness for outdoor use, optical bonding technology, light sensor control, waterproof IP protection class, and custom housing structures, as well as long-term supply support.

1. Dual Signal Touch Monitor

The TM-PC/PR series industrial monitor is a modularly designed HMI touch display, available in sizes ranging from 10.4” to 21.5”. It offers dual video signal inputs with 1x VGA and 1x DVI ports to meet the demands of industrial computing tasks. The fully flat, front IP65-protected industrial monitor of the TM-PC/PR series supports both panel mount and VESA mount.

The TM-PC/PR series is available with these touchscreen variations:

with projected capacitive multi-touch screen (PCAP): TM-PC series
with resistive touchscreen: TM-PR series

2. Multi Signal Touch Monitor

The TM-PCA/PRA series touch monitor is a modularly designed, front IP65-protected industrial monitor, available in sizes ranging from 15.0” to 21.5”. It offers four video signal inputs: 1x VGA, 1x DVI, 1x HDMI, and 1x DP, to meet the demands of industrial applications. The fully flat HMI touch display of the TM-PCA/PRA series supports both panel mount and VESA mount.

The TM-PCA/PRA series is available with these touchscreen variations:

with projected capacitive multi-touch screen (PCAP): TM-PCA series
with resistive touchscreen: TM-PRA series

3. Standard Rack Mount Monitor

The TM-RC/RR series touch monitor is a standard 19.0” rackmount industrial monitor, available in display sizes of 15.0”, 15.6”, 17.0”, and 19.0”. It offers two video signal inputs: 1x VGA and 1x DVI, to meet the demands of industrial cabinet applications. The rackmount touch monitor of the TM-RC/RR series also supports VESA 75/100 mounting.
